Do you wear handmade clothes? Porti haine handmade?

Că are buzunare?

EN: One thing I love about the handmade niche is creativity. I always find something new, something different, cute or crazy to love, although I don’t always understand why I like it. For instance, my first crocheted blouse. I made it more than a year ago and, although it’s not perfect, I love it. I used just the D(ouble) C(rochet) stitch, the pattern is a plain simple raglan, yet I cannot give it up. I made it thinking I would sell it, but I can’t. I love it and I wear it every time the weather is nice.

My handmade collection is growing slowly but surely. I have scarves and shawls – most are for winter and autumn – mittens and hats, knitted socks, or the summer bolero I wear whenever I’m in a sleeveless dress, just to name a few handmade items made by me.

But I also have plenty of handmade items made by others. I have a lovely painting on my kitchen wall, a pair of very comfy leather shoes, hand painted coffee mugs and cups, a knitted traditional blouse, a few notebooks and now I have a lovely handmade skirt. It’s become my favorite. Because it’s cute, I feel very good wearing it, it has pockets (I love skirts with pockets!) and the wind cannot blow it from underneath. I cannot wait to wear it this summer!

What is your handmade collection made of? Or, better yet, how often do you wear something made by a local artisan?
