EN: It seems like its been ages since my last post, and I’m sorry about this. But I’ve always been here, checking and approving comments, making sure the blog is up to date to run smoothly. I’ve also added a few more blog posts, but I have yet to finish each new blog post before it’s ready to be visible on your end. Meanwhile my hands have been quite busy. I’ve finished quite a bunch of projects, many from the May challenge (actually, with one exception, all are done, and of course I’ve started a few more, to keep me busy and anxious about my WIPS).

One of my newest project is the fair isle Baa Ble knit hat. I just love Donna Smith’s pattern, because it’s easy to follow and the hat is wonderful. Highly recommend it!

My first Baa Ble hat was my first fair isle project, a challenge for myself. I worked it with acrylic yarn from my stash and 4 mm needles. But on this second hat I’ve used merino in 2 strands and 3,5 mm needles. That’s because merino yarn tends to stretch quite a lot after washing and I really wanted this hat to fit the person who got it. And I was right to work a smaller hat, because after washing and drying, the hat turned out perfect for the head of an adult man.

Above you can see an example of how I knit combined continental in fair isle, in case you want to know. And here’s my finished hat. I love, love, love it!
