RO: Știi cum e când ai un proiect atât de plăcut încât nu l-ai lăsa din mână? Când poți improviza din plin, pentru a obține un rezultat unic și inedit? Cam așa a fost pentru mine proiectul „pătură croșetată cu motive tradiționale românești”. Îmi plac tare mult proiectele inedite unde pot improviza din plin. Pentru că, recunosc, nu-mi place să-mi îngrădesc imaginația copiind modele după poze. Prefer oricând să inventez un model decât să reproduc ceva după o poză.
Păturica croșetată cu motive tradiționale românești, inspirate din Moldova, am lucrat-o din bumbac Drops Safran – ca majoritatea păturilor pe care le fac – și a avut undeva la 95×95 cm. Marginea e concepută din pătrate croșetate după tutorialul lui Kim Saunders.

EN: You know that moment when you’re working on a project that’s so wonderful you cannot put it down? When you get to create something one of a kind? This is what this crochet blanket Romanian motifs has been for me. I love projects where I can create and crochet or knit something from my imagination. I admit, I don’t really enjoy when people send me pictures and ask for things to look exactly the same. It’s impersonal and limits my creativity. And I get little to no joy out of that. I’d rather improvise and make up my own models any time.
This crochet baby blanket with Romanian motifs is made of cotton – Drops Safran – like most of my baby blankets. I prefer cotton or cotton blends for crochet baby blankets because it’s more durable and doesn’t shed. The corners were made using Kim Saunder‘s square tutorial.
