New crochet projects | Noi proiecte de croșetat

EN: Too much ragweed and a lot of work, that was my schedule for the last 2 months. The ragweed part is awful – (darn allergies!), but the crochet project work part was amazing. Because I got to play with different new yarns and mix up different crochet techniques. I simply refused to give in to the allergy symptoms. And I finally finished the shawl I made using Alize Sal yarn.

What did I crochet this past summer?

In the middle of the summer I crocheted a few hats. Started with a viking hat – made of acrylic yarn – then a teddy bear hat – made of Alize Cotton Gold. Then I made a small army of baby booties – because one cannot have too many baby booties. As the summer moved on, I finished my work on the minion slippers for kids pattern – made all the sizes, wrote the pattern, tested it, re-tested it and published it.

And I also found some time to write down the pattern for 2 new baby dresses – status of these patterns is „work in progress”.

Tunisian Crochet

Also due to ragweed allergy and not being able to leave the house, I found some time to try Tunisian crochet. And I fell in love with this technique! I already have 2 scarves on my Tunisian hooks, one with cotton blend yarn – Alize Cotton Gold – and one with the amazing Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn. I love how soft and nice it is that yarn, especially because it is acrylic.

As soon as my allergy symptoms will go away, hopefully will get to publish in my Etsy shop 3 new crochet patterns. I started working on those for quite some time, including the minion baby dress pattern, but it is really hard to work when you are struggling to breathe …

But more about my patterns in future articles.

Why don’t you tell me about what have you been working on? We can talk in the comments below or on Facebook.
