**********************************

EN: Two months ago I decided I will no longer take on custom orders unless the proiect is cool and allows me to pour my creativity in it. And since then I realized I now have the time to finish a bit part of my WIPs, and let me tell you, I have so many WIPs, I have no idea where I put them. I realized I have too many because I can no longer find my needles :)) And because I tend to procrastinate (can you really blame me when there are so, so many pretty projects and patterns on Ravelry?!) by starting projects and finishing them after a few months/years, I decided it was about time to work on these on a monthly basis. This means I want to write about my WIPs progress every month. Here’s what I will be working on this month:

  • Yummy Brioche

This is a project started in December 2016 following a pattern by Lisa Hannes (All About That Brioche is called and it is a paid pattern). The first part – with grey – is done, then I started working on the first brioche band. At first I followed the pattern and worked every stitch as written in the pattern. 4 rows in and when I take a closer look at my shawl, my brioche doesn’t seem to look like brioche. I decide to unravel and start again. Yes, it’s quite a pain to unravel a project worked in 2 colors. Anyway, I start again, working the brioche from a video. Well, my brioche stitch still doesn’t look like a brioche – maybe because I am a combined continental knitter?! – but I decide it still looks pretty and I continue with it. Everything is fine until one chilly evening.

I was knitting in bed, watching something on Netflix. My cat was beside me, under the blanket, my boyfriend next to us. At one point he reaches to touch my hand, my cat just woken up by the sudden movement jumps from under the blanket right through my needles. For a fat cat she is quite fast. And a few stitches drop from my needles. Yeah, good luck getting those stitches back in brioche, with all those yarn overs. So I had to unravel again. And put the project aside and waited another day.

Yesterday I picked the project again and replaced the dark red with a green/turquoise yarn. And I am almost done with the first brioche band. It still doesn’t quite look like brioche, but hei, I like how it looks and I cannot wait to have another shawl to wear.

My progress with this project? About 50%.

  • Wonderworld

It’s a wonderful blouse started sometime in December 2016 based on a pattern by Amanda Reed (Taylor blouse). A free pattern on Ravelry. It’s very easy to make and I learned something new with this project. It’s a top down blouse, raglan style. I’m using some no name sock yarn, bought online a few years ago. I also have a shawl made from the same yarn and I love how well it is worn.

My progress with this project? About 75%

  • March Madness

I started this project in March of 2017 based on a pattern by On This Day Designs. It’s a free pattern on Ravelry. I wanted a project that would help me use all those small skeins of yarn I have in my stash. And I also had an almost complete skein of a very colorful yarn which I thought would look great in a project like this. I plan on having a very, very colorful shawl, perfect for those grey and black clothes of autumn/winter.

My progress with this project? About 10%.

So these are my planned projects for May 2017. If I manage to finish others in between, I will have to congratulate myself with a big box of chocolate :))

What are you working on? Show me your WIPs! 🙂
